carpe diem!

With carpe diem!, the timetables and examination schedules for the entire university are calculated each semester. The underlying software was developed in a joint research project with the TU Berlin. In the project, the company MathPlan GmbH contributes in the area of planning software, the IT Center of the RWTH in the area of hosting, and the CLS in a leading role.
Since winter 2013/14, carpe diem! has been providing university-wide scheduling for more than 45,000 students and over 1,300 teachers at RWTH every semester. More than 3,000 regular events in about 200 study programs receive a suitable room and time without overlap. In addition, more than 1,300 exams per semester have been planned with carpe diem! since 2017.
