RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences offer an orientation semester as part of two cooperative degree programs, which is jointly sponsored by RWTH and FH Aachen University. During the summer semester, participants can attend courses and events from their chosen subject in order to better orient themselves. The question "University of Applied Sciences or University?" should be easier to answer afterwards.

To this end, both representative modules from the respective subjects and tailored events are offered. For example, we combine higher mathematics with the existing preliminary course in order to cater to different levels of knowledge. In the additional semester added to the regular course, participants are accompanied by engineering students. As mentors, they act as contact persons. This gives participants more time and more security for their individual study decisions.
