The Center for Teaching and Learning Services combines the strengths of five departments. Together, we offer a wide range of services to improve study conditions and teaching quality at RWTH.

ExAcT and Mentoring – Excellent Academic Teaching and Mentoring

ExAcT combines qualification and certification as well as research and networking through needs-oriented seminars and workshops, individual advising, targeted teaching and learning research, and university didactic exchange.

Mentoring enables students to be accompanied and advised throughout their studies. Our goal is to work with students to identify their challenges in their studies, as well as their personal potential, at an early stage and to address them in a solution-oriented manner.

SAM – SelfAssessments

The SelfAssessments (SAM) of the RWTH offer an online-based study orientation service for prospective students as well as for high school students. The SelfAssessments provide information about the requirements and compatibility with personal ideas of a study program as well as whether one's own inclinations and aptitudes fit the desired field of study.
