Open Resources Campus of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia

The Open Resources Campus of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, ORCA.nrw, is a cross-university online state portal for studying and teaching. The state portal provides openly licensed and quality-assured educational materials and services for teachers and students. In addition to subject-specific materials, basic information on the topic of e-learning is also provided and an exchange opportunity for teachers is offered. The educational materials on ORCA.nrw are Open Educational Resources (OER) which means that anyone interested can use them for their own teaching and learning, edit them, and publish them again.

The portal creates a "culture of sharing" within the 37 educational institutions and serves as a further education opportunity for teachers and students. The CLS (ExAcT department), as the contact point for university didactics, is responsible for network coordination between ORCA.nrw and RWTH Aachen University.
